Parents Code of Conduct

Bond Soccer is a professional environment where your child can learn soccer and life skills in a professional environment. The foundation of this is set in how we behave as parents and coaches. Whilst many of us get emotional about results and game time our kids are really just playing for enjoyment and our support. We all cringe at overbearing parents and parents who baby their kids to much. We have appointed qualified, experienced coaches who know their job and get paid to do it and we need to trust them to do it. For this reason we make each registered players parents sign the clubs parents code of conduct and ask that they abide by it.

We want a group of parents who are supportive in a positive way who also portray the professional nature of our club. As such each parent is expected to:

Ensure they get their kids to training and games on time

Stay off the training field at all times (this includes running on with water bottles in the middle of the session because Johnny forgot to bring it from the car)

Stay off the game field at all times (this includes running on with water bottles at half time because Johnny forgot to bring it from the car or home)

Respect the decision of their child’s coach (If you have issues a coaches meeting can be scheduled after training at an appropriate time)

Treat match officials and opposition parents with respect

Understand that your child will be pushed physically and mentally to achieve more, be a team player and show discipline in how he/she behaves and plays...this needs to be supported

Bond Soccer will not tolerate overbearing and abusive behaviour of kids and officials. We welcome parent support in all aspects of supporting our kids but are very clear that coaches have responsibility for our children for the duration of training and games.

I ___________________________________ understand that it is my responsibility as a parent of Bond Soccer to adhere to the above guidelines. I also understand that should I fail to adhere to these guidelines that I will accept the consequences of my actions, which could be being asked to leave the club. I am committed to representing Bond in a professional manner.
